About Strategos Intelligence

A world connecting differently

For three decades, the world economy was organised around one idea: the more connected we were, the more prosperous we would all be. Trade crossed borders freely, supply chains stretched around the globe, and capital went wherever it earned the most.

Every country still benefits from that system. But each is now protecting itself against it. Governments put security, resilience and strategic autonomy ahead of efficiency. Tariffs, subsidies and industrial policy pull production home. Critical minerals, energy routes and technology have become instruments of power. When trade between rivals is cut, it does not stop: it takes longer, costlier routes through third countries. The world is not disconnecting; it is connecting differently.

A new order is forming, but it is not yet built. Until it is, we live with geopolitical volatility: decisions taken in capitals move energy prices, interest rates and currencies more often, and faster, than before.

Our purpose

Strategos reads this transition and connects the dots: the event, the mechanism that carries it into markets, and what it means for the economy, for investors and for businesses. We do not forecast prices or give investment advice. We aim to give our readers a clear understanding of how the world is changing and how that change reaches the markets.

How we work

Our analysis starts from evidence, not opinion. Facts come from named sources and official publications. We compare what markets are doing now with how they usually behave, and with comparable episodes in history; the gap between the two is often where the insight lies. Every edition is reviewed and approved before publication.

What we publish

A monthly newsletter that brings everything together, and a monthly assessment for each area: geopolitics, markets, commodities, and the strategic outlook.

Independence

Strategos Intelligence is published by DAPEMI SRL, Brussels. We hold no positions in what we discuss, and no third party pays for or reviews our content. Nothing we publish is investment advice.
